As we transition into the warmer months and further from the cosy jumpers of winter, a new wardrobe is being unearthed and thus a new sense of style. Therefore, who better to look to than Friends character Rachel Green who provided so many timeless outfits throughout the show. I have collected 7 Rachel Green outfits you should recreate this spring or look at for inspiration.

The first outfit of Rachel’s is this pairing of a green tube top and white linen trousers. The white trousers which are a staple in a capsule wardrobe can also be brought into the summer months with their lightweight feel being a perfect item for hot weather. The green tube top which is emphasised against the white gives a spring feel through its lack of straps or sleeves and is a flattering item.

Parachute pants, like ones shown in this outfit are very in right now and are a perfect piece for spring. Similar to the linen trousers, they are also lightweight and dually provide warmth for the colder spring days. When worn with a simple coloured top like the blue one seen above, a trendier item is turned into a classic outfit.

Dungarees are a recurring fashion statement for Rachel Green and are an item that you should definitely add to your wardrobe. Here, they have been styled with a white vest underneath, complimenting the blue jeans very well. Feel free to include a hoodie with the outfit for when its a big colder or to wrap around your waist just as Rachel has fashionably done here.

If you are interested in a less casual spring look, opt for a fitted white shirt and black miniskirt. This is another timeless outfit and when paired with black knee-high boots becomes very chic. Here, Rachel hasn’t included tights so would be perfect for that awkward spring weather, but feel free to add tights for a more conservative vibe.

Wearing pastel colours immediately radiates spring energy and the pale yellow of Rachel’s top does just that. Additionally, the frill of the sleeve is quite a feminine element and compliments the floral pattern on her top very well. When paired with a classic pair of blue baggy jeans you can’t go wrong in recreating this.

Just because its spring that doesn’t mean you have to rule out long sleeve tops all together. Instead opt for one in a light colour such as this baby blue to distance yourself from the darker tones of a winter wardrobe. Through the inclusion of the jeans which are also blue, Rachel has created a sense of put togetherness to a seemingly basic outfit.

Lastly, you need a floral dress in your wardrobe no question about it. This dress which would also be perfect for summer comes in useful in spring where it can be layered well. Above, Rachel’s outfit has been paired with a complimentary cardigan tying the purple and pink colours together. But you could opt for a jumper or sweater, thus making the summer dress double as a skirt.
