In order to have your best summer yet you should dedicate lots of time towards spending it with friends and family. In a day and age when so much of our lives are centred around the activities on our phones it is important to not neglect the activities where we can live in the moment. These 10 summer bucket list ideas are the perfect inspiration for wholesome moments with friends that will develop into core memories.
1. Painting candles

This low budget activity is the perfect way to get creative with friends. You should start by buying the candle you want to paint and then a selection of varying coloured tea lights that you can melt down and use for the paint. This fun activity not only allows you to have a good time making it but is also a really cute decorative piece to add to your room afterwards.
2. Dinner parties

The ultimate excuse to dress up cute and have good food and drinks with friends, dinner parties are an amazing way to spend and evening . You can also have fun with these by taking turns in your friend group to host and each sticking to a different theme. Some ideas for summer themes that I have really been enjoying are Swedish midsummer, mamma mia and florals.
3. Summer evening walks

This summer you should take some time and spend it doing some wholesome walks whilst the weather is really nice. After spending so much time indoors it is a lovely way to clear your head and take care of your mental health by boosting your endorphins.
4. Sunbathing

We all want that glow over summer that starts with a nice tan and aggressive tan lines. Whether you are spending time with friends in your garden or driving to your nearest beach for a day trip, a casual few hours spent tanning and chatting can be the perfect way to spend an afternoon. P.s don’t forget sun cream 🙂
5. Camping

If you and your friends are more of the outdoorsy types, you could opt for a camping trip at scenic locations. This is one of the best ways to disconnect from social media and allow you to live in the moment. You could pair this activity with a couple of the others I have listed in this blog post to make for a really exciting week.
6. Painting/Pottery painting

To get more creative I would recommend booking a pottery painting session in which you could decorate your own mug, bowl or plate etc that you could take home with you afterwards. However if you are looking for something more feasible then you could buy some paint and paper from a local supermarket and hold your own workshop.
7. Picnic

Picnics are a great way to spend time outside with friends eating, chatting and playing your favourite songs on a speaker. You can put on cute outfits and each share the cost in contributing something to your feast.
8. Scrapbooking

This is an activity that perhaps caters more towards the end of summer in which you could scrapbook your favourite moments from the couple of months and have a really nice memorabilia. You can make this so personal to you and romanticise your life, a keepsake that will be really nice to look back on.
9. Outdoor movie night

If you invest in a projector and hang a big white bedsheet outside then you would have your own makeshift outdoor cinema and movie night. You could couple this with some pizza and popcorn and put on your favourite chic flicks or a nice summer movie.
10. Beach campfire

The final activity that I have added to this bucket list blog post is a beach campfire. This is the best way to finish a day at the beach by toasting marshmallows and making s’mores. You could also do a normal campfire in your garden but I think that having one at the beach embodies the summer vibes even more.
