Back To School/Uni Outfits You Should Recreate This Autumn

As the new school or university term approaches, it’s time to think about refreshing your wardrobe. Dressing well is not just about looking good but also feeling confident and motivated. To help you start the season on the right foot, I have put together a list of eight outfit suggestions that you can recreate this autumn. These outfits perfectly capture the upcoming fall trends while providing comfort and style for your daily activities. Read on to get inspired and create your own looks for the new academic year.

The first inspiration that I have provided in this post has to be the classic combination of a mini skirt and knee-high boots. This look allows you to maintain a feminine side while also providing more warmth with longer footwear. I would definitely recommend layering this with tights for a more put-together look. However, since it is autumn, you could opt for sheer, thin ones

I believe that an important aspect of autumn fashion is ensuring that you stay warm while remaining stylish. For this reason, you could consider layering a gilet on top of your outfit to add dimension not only in color but also in texture. As you can see from my picture choices, I really like the use of dark greens, a true autumnal colour that complements every hair colour

I believe there is a common misconception surrounding autumn clothes, which is the idea that once you transition to that wardrobe, colour disappears from your clothes. However, the next suggestion proves that this doesn’t have to be true. By incorporating colourful knit jumpers, you can restore the fun of summer. To elevate this look further, include a chunky scarf in a colour that isn’t already seen in the jumper.

For a more preppy and feminine look, I am circling back to the incorporation of skirts. However, for this inspiration, I have chosen skirts with chequered and plaid patterns, which are seen here in autumnal colourways. In all of these pictures, the skirts are elevated through their pairing with Doc Marten boots and white socks/leg warmers. The addition of a knitted jumper pulls the whole look together and is arguably my favourite from this blog post.

For a clean girl/gym girl aesthetic, you should definitely invest in a figure-hugging, long-sleeve workout jacket. Not only are these jackets incredibly flattering, but they also give you a put-together look. An additional benefit is that they can serve as motivation to work out during the colder months. You can’t go wrong with styling these jackets with leggings and a good pair of over-ear headphones.

I think this is a perfect example of an autumnal jumper. Despite its thick and knitted nature, it is worn off the shoulder, which is something you wouldn’t be able to get away with in winter. These jumpers look great when worn with your hair down, and the addition of a headband pulls the whole look together in a Blair Waldorf-esque way.

If you are looking for the perfect balance between the warmth of jeans and the girly feel of mini skirts, then a long denim skirt is the perfect addition to your wardrobe. For a more edgy fashion, pair this piece with a classic black leather jacket and, of course, a chunky scarf to complete the look.

The final outfit that I have included in the blog post for inspiration is a look that can be described as bordering on the Stockholm style aesthetic. It’s essential to have a classic striped jumper in your autumn wardrobe as it can make any outfit look clean and put together. Therefore, I would recommend choosing one with the classic inclusion of white and black stripes. Additionally, you could even opt for a cardigan for added layering options.

By recreating these outfits, you can start your school or university days with confidence and a sense of style. Embrace the autumn trends, stay warm, and feel motivated throughout the day. Let your wardrobe reflect your personality and make a statement this season.
